PREPARATION
- Obtained by passing chlorine through strontium hydroxide solution.

- Available in Technical and laboratory grades
HAZARDS
- Can prove explosive when comes in contact with other organic compounds
- Catches fire upon heating and rubbing
- It is a strong oxidizing agent
USES It is used in many fireworks formulas and tracer bullets as Tracer ammunition
